How to Choose

Three things to think about before you pick a size.

Bigger isn’t always better — the right size is the one that fits your sleepers and your room. Here’s what to weigh.

Who’s sleeping in it? Solo sleeper, a couple, or a couple plus kids and pets? More bodies means you’ll want more width. Couples are usually happiest in a queen or king.
Measure your room Leave walking space on the sides and at the foot of the bed. A king needs a bigger room than a queen to feel right. Not sure? We’ll help you figure out what fits.
Consider your height Standard beds run 75–80 inches long. If you’re over six feet, a California king’s extra length keeps your feet on the mattress.
