We’re a locally owned mattress store with two showrooms in Foscoe and the Boone Mall, and we’ve been voted the area’s Best Mattress Store for over a decade. Our Story
Blackberry Creek began with a simple idea: buying a mattress shouldn’t be stressful. Big-box stores and online brands make it easy to feel pressured, confused, or worried you’re making another expensive mistake. We set out to build a place where you can slow down, ask questions, and get honest guidance without any sales games.
Since opening our doors, we’ve grown from a small shop to two full showrooms with one of the best selections of Tempur-Pedic, Stearns & Foster, Sealy, Helix, Casper, and more in western North Carolina. Along the way, we’ve helped thousands of customers in Boone, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, Linville, West Jefferson, Wilkesboro, and Lenoir find the right mattress for their budget, body, and sleep needs.

Behind Blackberry Creek Mattress is a small, experienced team that loves helping people sleep better. When you walk in the door, you’ll meet real people who remember your name and care about getting it right.
- Marc: General Manager – Our senior employee with over 15 years of helping the gerat people of teh High Counry get a better night's sleep. He Oversees both locations, trains the team, and helps customers with tricky sleep needs and big household projects.
- Becca: Sleep Consultant and Finance Manager – Other than Marc, she is Blackberry's longest running employee, with 13 years of mattress selling experience. Becca handles all our finances and is one of our main salespeople. She loves to help her customers get a better night's sleep through her relaxed and educational style. If you're interested in a Stressless chair, she is the person to talk to.
- Patrick: Sleep Consultant and Boone Mall Manager– With over 10 years of experience, Patrick is known for his patience, product knowledge, and calm, no-pressure approach. If you've visited our Boone Mall location, you've probably talked to him.
- Vance: Sleep Consultant and Delivery Manager – With 5 years of experience between delivering and a salesperson, Vance helps customers compare brands, understand feel differences, and choose the right setup for their space. When you're ready for your delivery he will be the person that you hear from.
- Brandon: Sleep Consultant – Brandon is our one part-time employee, but Blackberry Creek couldn't make it without him. He has over 10 years experience with either selling or delivering mattresses. If you've purchased a Stressless chair, he was the one that built it. He is our handyman and can fix anything that breaks.
